Fundraising 101: An Overview Workshop on Fund
Development
The
Delaware Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals is presenting
an opportunity for persons new to the fundraising field or those wishing to brush up on
the basics to learn from top professionals in the
field. With one workshop location each in New Castle County and in Kent County, the
day is designed to give workshop attendees information on the basic elements of
fund development. Learn about annual giving, planned giving, donor prospecting and
cultivation, grant writing and how to best utilize board members.
In support of this professional development opportunity, the Delaware
Division of the Arts will offer grants to Delaware arts organizations and
community-based organizations with arts programs interested in taking advantage
of one of these workshops. The Division will subsidize 80% of the workshop fee
for one representative per organization. Please review the instructions provided
in the Information and Registration Form (see link below) and respond by the
stated deadline. For further information, call Sheila Dean Ross, Technical
Assistance Coordinator, 302-577-8286.
