DDOA Grant Information Sessions and Financial Management Workshops

The Division of the Arts will be holding two Grant Information Sessions – one in Wilmington (January 11) and one in Milford (January 9) to discuss the application and review process, share thoughts about current arts issues, and to hear a presentation on “Best Practices in Financial Management.” (Details and Agenda)

DDOA Job Opening

The Delaware Division of the Arts has a job opening for a Community Arts Development Coordinator (Planner III). This position involves advising community-based and nonprofit arts organizations in the production and presentation of arts programming, developing and coordinating Technical Assistance programs for nonprofit arts organizations, as well as programs to assist new and emerging arts organizations throughout the state. Art Guide

The Spring-Summer 2007 Art Guide will be published on March 23, 2007. It will cover arts events happening from March 23 through September 15. Starting with this issue, all calendar information must be submitted to The News Journal. Please send to mdemby@delawareonline.com by January 12.

Mezzanine Gallery

Last chance to see the exhibit of hand-blown glass pieces by Deborah Appleby in the Mezzanine Gallery through December 29. The show, Movement in Square, features her work created with colorful, handmade murrini (squares) that are heated and shaped into her desired forms.
